UK & Ireland · up by 09:00 every morning

Five racing tips, every morning.

We score every race in the UK and Ireland before racing starts, then put up to five of them on the card. Some days there are fewer, because not every day throws up five worth backing. Each pick comes with the reason it qualified, and every result goes on the record page, winners and losers, with nothing taken down afterwards.

Worth saying up front

This is a system we built and we think it works. It is not betting advice, and it is not a guarantee of profit. Losing days are normal here and losing weeks happen, because roughly three in four of our picks do not win. Use it as another opinion on the card rather than a reason to bet more than you would have.

The method

What we actually look at.

No hunches and no tipster shouts. The same set of checks runs over every runner in every race, every morning, and a horse only makes the card if enough of them line up.

01
How this kind of race usually goes

We hold about 4,900 patterns mined from every UK and Irish result since April 2025, which is roughly 17,700 races. Each race is matched to its own type first: code, class, distance, handicap or not.

02
Our own speed figures

Every run gets a time rating adjusted for going, distance and class. It is there to spot horses running quicker than their official mark suggests they should.

03
Who they were actually running against

A horse beaten a length by one that has since won twice reads better than the bare result. We weight those lines by the class they came out of.

04
Where the horse is in its career

Best rating so far, how far the mark has dropped since the last win, how long since it was winning at this level. Some horses are on the way up and some are being flattered by old form.

05
The detail around the race

Draw, trip, going, days since the last run, and whether the trainer or jockey has a real record at that particular track. On their own these are small. Together they break ties.

06
The price

We only publish between evens and 7/1. Outside that band our rating stopped telling winners from losers when we tested it, so we leave those races alone rather than guess.

How it works

The bits that keep us honest.

  • Everything goes up before racing. The card is here and on X each morning by 09:00, and the time stamp on X is the proof it was there first.
  • Every pick carries its reason. A few lines on what triggered it. The wording is drafted by a language model from the system's own output. The selection underneath it is rules only, with nothing generative involved.
  • Losers stay up. Every pick on the card is tracked to a result and none of it comes down later. When we change a rule it applies from that day forward, and old results are never re-filtered to make the past look better.
  • The card is not the whole feed. The X thread carries every runner that qualified that morning, usually ten to fifteen. The record page covers the daily card only, and it says so rather than quietly counting both.
